This year’s Labor Community Services Mandela Day project was a success! On Saturday, July 18, 2015 – over 90 volunteers from 14 unions and organizations came out to paint the family units of the US Vets-Paiolu Kaiaulu transitional homeless shelter, a partner agency of Aloha United Way out in Waianae.
"Today's event was a success thanks to the generosity of volunteers from Hawaii's Labor Community and Aloha United Way. Giving back is an important part of organized labor's past, present and future. We greatly appreciate our partnership with Aloha United Way." says Randy Perreira, Hawaii State AFL-CIO President.
